Giorgi Vashadze: The door to the European Union is open, but the Georgian Dream is standing in the door - the Prime Minister must say what path they choose

The door to the European Union is open, but the Georgian Dream is standing in the door - they should clearly state what path they are choosing, Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Builder, told journalists.

According to him, they have specific questions for the Prime Minister and they expect clear answers from him.

"We are facing a historic choice, either a strong, democratic Georgia with Europe and the United States of America or an enslaved, impoverished and oligarchic Georgia with Russia. The main question of the day is what path does the Georgian Dream choose, does it choose the path that is the choice of the Georgian nation or does it choose the path to Russia that will lead us to the swamp and slavery. Today you will hear questions about why the Georgian Dream is sabotaging Euro-Atlantic integration and why it happens that all the steps they have taken after February are against the path of Georgia's integration into the European Union, and the main question that the Prime Minister must answer is what path he chooses along with his political power. All questions should be given a clear answer, not giving an answer, avoiding the question, this silence will be considered that Georgian Dream is choosing the path to Russia.

The door to the European Union is open, but the Georgian Dream is standing in the door, they want to turn us towards Russia. This is the reality, therefore the Georgian people must respond to all resolutions, all statements, as Senator Shaheen said. Today is also dedicated to that. Georgian Dream should clearly state what path it is choosing," said Vashadze.

We remind you that Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili will have to speak today at the plenary session regarding the granting of EU candidate status to Georgia, as well as the statements made by the deputies of Georgian Dream and People's Power.

Irakli Gharibashvili was summoned by the opposition members of the Parliament: Giorgi Vashadze, Paata Manjgaladze, Theona Akubardia, Khatuna Samnidze, Tariel Nakaidze, Tamar Kordzaia, Rostom Chkheidze and Nato Chkheidze.
