Russian occupation forces illegally detain Georgian citizen in occupied territory near Perevi village

Representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained a Georgian citizen in the occupied territory near the village of Perevi in the Sachkhere municipality. The State Security Service disseminated the above information.

According to the agency, upon receiving the relevant information, the State Security Service activated the hotline operating within the EU monitoring mission. International partners and co-chairs of international discussions in Geneva were immediately informed about the incident.

According to the State Security Service, all available mechanisms have been activated to release the illegally detained person in the shortest possible time.

"Responsibility for the destructive actions committed on the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line, rests with the occupying power", reads the statement.
