How low can the National Movement go?! Unbelievable things are happening, - the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze, told journalists, thereby responding to the internal elections in the National Movement.
According to Sarjveladze, the controversy is so clear that the party cannot continue to exist in the same form, and the part that loses the internal elections will have to leave.
"I don't think it is serious to consider that after this party holds internal elections, they will be able to maintain their positions in Georgian politics in exactly the same form or manner. The confrontation and conflict between the groups has deepened so much that it will be impossible to maintain the same atmosphere. I don't think there is even a chance. In order for this party to continue functioning in the same way, it seems that the defeated part will have to leave the party and look for new political spaces.
It is a rhetorical question, but it is interesting - where low the National Movement can go? Unbelievable things are happening, it's not just a clash of views, a difference of opinions, which has been used to mask the crises there for a long time. It's not a difference of opinion, we are watching a furious fight for finances," said Sarjveladze.
