The population of Georgia is tired of this never-ending “Santa Barbara" between Georgian Dream and National Movement - now it all is culminating by the imprisonment of Mikheil Saakashvili and the fact that the party cannot save its leader from prison, Girchi MP Iago Khvichia told journalists.
According to him, this stage of the political game should end in Georgia and a more interesting process should begin, the precondition of which is the disintegration of the National Movement.
"After losing elections, crises are a normal event in the party. Mikheil Saakashvili's arrest and failure to release him are also factors deepening the crisis.
I have offered the parties many times a solution on how to ease the situation, including within the party. No one seriously listened to us. That's why I don't have much interest in the current events within the National Movement, except when I see that the party is disintegrating and we find ourselves in a different political reality. You know, I'm a supporters of this!
Internal party elections are a way to get to the point where the National Movement will naturally disintegrate,” Iago Khvichia said.
