According to Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Council of the Russian Federation, Tbilisi made a statement regarding the need to return Aeroflot flights a few weeks ago, estikavkaza.ru reports about it.
According to him, Georgia itself applied to Russia with a request to restore air traffic.
According to him, this happened a few weeks ago - Tbilisi raised the issue of resuming Aeroflot flights, Georgian Dream supported this initiative, and the country's President, "a French citizen", ruled out such a possibility.
According to Dzhabarov, both Russians and residents of Georgia would be happy with such an opportunity: "Tourist trips will be easier for Russians, and Georgian citizens would visit their relatives more easily."
Dzhabarov added that the European Union strongly expressed its negative attitude on the issue of the resumption of direct flights, in fact, "impudently" interfering in the affairs of Georgia.
