Irakli Gharibashvili: Despite the challenges in the world, our team managed to avoid the biggest ordeal, war - the attempt to bring the conflict to our country, unfortunately, does not stop

According to Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, despite the challenges, the Georgian government managed to avoid the biggest ordeal, the war.

As the Prime Minister told journalists, the attempt to bring the current conflict in Ukraine to the territory of Georgia doesn't stop.

According to him, he wishes for peace, end of war and return of territories to Ukraine.

"As a result of the work of our government, last year we had an unprecedentedly high 10.1% economic growth; This is when there is recession, uncertainty and unpredictability all over the world. Despite this challenge, our team managed to avoid the biggest ordeal, war. The attempt to bring this conflict to our country, unfortunately, does not stop. We directly heard the statements of the Ukrainian authorities on this topic. Their goal was to open the "second front". This goal was served by sending Mikheil Saakashvili to Georgia, and there are a lot of provocations, which, unfortunately, do not stop even now.

I want to wish one thing to everyone, including our friendly Ukrainian people - peace, timely end of this war and return of territories," said Irakli Gharibashvili.
