European and American partners do a lot to support Ukraine, but the Ukrainian business is also a powerful support mechanism for the country. Ukrainian entrepreneurs and companies are actively reorganizing and developing business, which allows them to effectively help Ukrainian defenders, the state, volunteers and fellow citizens. About all the above said Volodymyr Nosov, the founder and the CEO of one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Europe of Ukrainian origin – the WhiteBIT – in an interview with the Eutoday publication.
“Ukrainian entrepreneurs have been helping and continue to help the country and people and support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian business sends billions to support its country. This is the only opportunity to win this war. We transfer our own funds to help Ukraine, because the meaning of business existence is not only in making money, but also in the opportunity to help people,” said Volodymyr Nosov.
According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the WhiteBIT has transferred about $11 million of its own funds to help our defenders, volunteers and the Ukrainians, in general. The funds are aimed at providing individual units of the Defense Forces with food, armor, thermal imagers, drones, cars, medicines, and at humanitarian aid to displaced persons and the Ukrainians who suffered from military actions.
In addition, the crypto exchange closely cooperates with Ukrainian state authorities, in particular with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, as well as with fundraising platforms and charitable foundations. For example, in the United24, the crypto-processing service Whitepay was used as a tool for collecting donations in the crypto. According to Volodymyr Nosov, the cryptocurrency has become an integral part of volunteer and charity movements in Ukraine, because blockchain is a simple technological solution to the problem of international donating, which traditional financial services cannot offer.
“I am proud that over the past year, we have signed several important partnerships with those who set the level in their fields. The WhiteBIT has become the official crypto-partner of football clubs, including the Turkish Trabzonspor, the legendary Barcelona and, of course, the National Football Team of Ukraine,” the WhiteBIT’s rfounder emphasizes. He adds that such large-scale international partnerships also help increasing the amount of aid to support Ukraine.
It should be reminded that the WhiteBIT is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Europe with Ukrainian origin. Today, the exchange, serving more than 3.5 million users, has 8 offices in different countries and on different continents of the world.
