Davit Usupashvili: Our statement and the answer of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland coincided with each other - Poland is determined to be more actively involved in the process of European integration of Georgia

Our statement and the answer of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland coincided with each other - Poland is determined to be more actively involved in the process of European integration of Georgia, - one of the leaders of Lelo, Davit Usupashvili, said after meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

According to him, Poland's involvement in the European integration process of Georgia will be a serious step forward.

"The Polish Government is determined to be very active in this process in the remaining time until the candidate status is decided. In the form of Poland, the Georgian people and Georgia have and will have a very serious supporter. Poland understands very well the situation in our country - on the one hand, the fact that the majority of the population shows a serious desire for Europe, and meanwhile, too many decisions, rhetoric, anti-Western propaganda of the Government are not in line with all this.

The involvement of Poland in this process will be a serious step forward. Involvement implies close consultations with the Government and relevant persons in the implementation of the 12 points, as well as other issues that are solvable and painful, be it the topic of Gvaramia, the former president or democracy in general, because during the implementation of the 12 points, if the Government commits new disasters, for example, "Russian agents law”, "Russian law", investigative commission - this is against the European spirit. Poland's position will be very important. These visits will not be one-time, they will be more active," Usupashvili said.
