Viktor Bondarev: Moscow is obliged to strengthen its presence in Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria

Viktor Bondarev, head of the Defense Committee of the Council of the Russian Federation, believes that Moscow is obliged to strengthen its presence in the collective security agreement, as well as in the republics - Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria.

"The strengthening of the hostile policy of the USA against Russia leads to the necessity of creating Russian military bases abroad. During the Cold War, the USSR had a wide network of military bases in Eastern Europe, as well as in Southeast Asia (Vietnam) and Cuba," the senator wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also noted that ties with African countries being strengthened.

"Russia is a stable state institution and is capable of the most effective resolution of military conflicts, guaranteeing security in individual countries and entire regions. In Africa, this is already an axiom," he added.
