Levan Berdzenishvili was attacked on Ilia Chavchavadze avenue. As Berdzenishvili told IPN, the incident happened on the street when he left Ilia State University.

According to him, he was attacked by a young man who addressed him with the word "traitor" and threw an egg.

"I came out of Ilia University, from the lecture, I was walking to the car. A citizen met me on the street, near the "Pixel" building. He began by addressing me - "traitor", "Erekle", your mother, etc. It seemed his mission was to make anger me - more or less successfully. I, of course, did not swear at his mother. Suddenly, he took out an egg from his pocket. With us, it seems, citizens go around like this, armed with eggs. This is a regular part of the ongoing program - Zurab Japaridze, Levan Berdzenishvili - I am the enemy of Georgia and this moron, illiterate, amoeba, this Kostava, who was sent to me, is a patriot and defender of Georgia?! Berdzenishvili is not going to appeal to the law enforcement officers.

"Who should I turn to? I have doubts about them, who should I turn to, am I not a child, right?" Berdzenishvili said.
