If a guest comes, if they knock on your door and you don't open the door, they won't be able to enter your house, so it's very simple - the restoration of direct flights with Russia was an agreement between the two states, Lelo deputy Ana Natsvilishvili told reporters
Natsvlishvili responded to Sergey Lavrov's statement regarding the flights and noted that even without his statement, it is clear that the resumption of flights is the result of an agreement between the two states.
"I and several of my colleagues from the opposition had to send parliamentary questions regarding when, in what format, by whose decision the Georgian side agreed to resume flights. For a moment, if we don't believe Lavrov and say that this is Lavrov's statement and it means nothing, and I think that they will say that, and this will be the reaction of Georgian Dream. Therefore, if we don't believe Lavrov, let's believe our own eyes - direct flights with Russia have been restored, and this cannot happen with the consent of only one state. If a guest comes, if they knock on your door and you don't open the door, they won't be able to enter your house, so it's very simple - the restoration of direct flights with Russia was an agreement between the two states. Let me remind you, this is happening when the whole civilized world is trying to distance itself from Russia, to isolate it, and serious measures have been taken by the European states, to decrease economic ties with Russia, this process could not be stopped at once, but there is a clearly decreasing indicator. International isolation of Russia is one of the important mechanisms to end the massacre of innocent Ukrainian people, at this time Georgia has restored direct flights," Natsvlishvili said.
For information, according to the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, when they saw that the current government of Tbilisi is interested in normalizing relations, they agreed with Gharibashvili's government to resume flights and the visa regime was canceled.
