Aslan Bzhania: During the meeting with Vladimir Putin, we talked about Abkhazia's possible participation in the Union State in the future

According to the so-called president of occupied Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in a "friendly, assuring atmosphere".

"The President of Russia, as is usually the case with Abkhazia, showed a very attentive attitude towards all issues. He promised his support on almost all the issues raised at the meeting," said Bzhania.

According to him, Russia will continue to help occupied Abkhazia in terms of energy supply.

In addition, according to Bzhania, issues related to the provision of military security were also discussed at the meeting with Vladimir Putin.

"In this regard, we have every reason to hope for the support of the Russian Federation. Proximity in many matters was particularly emphasized. We talked about the integration processes initiated by the Russian Federation, the participation of Abkhazia in these processes, and the possible participation of Abkhazia in the Union State in the future. All this was accepted positively, we have to work on it day and night," said Bzhania.

On October 3, Aslan Bzhania met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and on October 4 - with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Today, Bzhania headed the so-called security council session, at which "domestic and foreign policy issues" of occupied Abkhazia were discussed.
