Yesterday's horrific killing showed us once again that the narrative of the "Russian Dream" is false when it talks about peace - the government has chosen a collaborationist, conciliatory policy with the enemy, Tina Bokuchava, the chairperson of the National Movement faction, told journalists, responding to the killing of a Georgian citizen by Russian occupation forces near the occupation line.
According to her, the only way to achieve real peace is Georgia's accession to NATO and the European Union.
"Is it peace when our citizen, who goes to his father's grave to pray, is shot in the back by the Russian occupation forces? The only way to achieve real peace and ensure that our citizens are protected everywhere on the territory of Georgia is Georgia's accession to NATO and the European Union. Each of us must fight and work for this. Unfortunately, the current government has chosen a collaborationist, conciliatory policy with the enemy. What this brings is shown by the gravest facts, which we saw yesterday," said Tina Bokuchava.
For information, according to the State Security Service of Georgia, a Georgian citizen was killed as a result of shooting by the Russian occupation forces near the village of Kirbali. According to the agency, the Russian occupation forces illegally detained another citizen of Georgia.
