Lelo's task is not to overcome the threshold, Lelo's task is to change the Georgian Dream as a result of the 2024 elections - our task is to convincingly defeat the Georgian Dream, even in the conditions of the 5% threshold, as a result of which the country will have a pro-European coalition governance, one of the leaders of Lelo, Badri Japaridze, said while talking to journalists.

According to him, in the parliamentary elections of 2024, Georgian Dream will be "convincingly defeated and the Georgian people will take power".

"The task of Lelo is not to overcome the threshold, the task of Lelo is to change Georgian Dream as a result of the 2024 elections. That's why we set much bigger tasks ahead than this 5% threshold. Georgian Dream shows its face because they made the promise, obviously, this is not the first time when they don't fulfill the promise, but in this case, nothing changes for us, our task is to convincingly defeat the Georgian Dream, even in the conditions of the 5% threshold, as a result of which the country will have a pro-European coalition government and as a result of which the country will start to actually integrate into the European Union. Therefore, what Georgian Dream is doing is their style - breaking the word, breaking the promise, but it doesn't change anything. This will have absolutely no effect on the fact that Georgian Dream will be defeated, will be defeated convincingly, and the Georgian people will take power and take back their state.

I think that no one should hope for the good will of Georgian Dream, therefore it is necessary to have a very important involvement of the international community. We see that there is a complete readiness on the part of the European Union, as well as on the part of the United States, to start observing the process, already now and not only on the day of the elections. Because Georgian Dream falsifies elections before the election day, when it pressures voters, bribes votes, its coordinators institute is mobilized to mislead people as if that their votes are controlled, these are all the tools that Georgian Dream has and which they will use if we do not interfere with it. Therefore, we agree with the international community, we agree with our friends, that it is necessary for an unprecedented number of long-term observers to arrive in our country, to make public all the violations, to expose the Georgian Dream in all cases when they try in their usual style to predict and falsify the elections. Therefore I am very optimistic, Georgian Dream will not be able to hold elections with the same violations as the last elections. Therefore, the future of our country is now in our hands, in the sense that every person must believe that their vote will be decisive and their vote will be protected. Our friends will be with the Georgian people and will not allow Georgian Dream to falsify the elections," said Japaridze.
