Salome Zurabishvili: "Our Voice for Europe" signature campaign is a youth campaign, I passed it on to you and you must continue it - this is a campaign for your and our future!

The youth of Gori joined the signature campaign "Our Voice to Europe".

According to the Presidential Administration, the President of Georgia met with young people involved in the campaign today in Gori, who once again expressed their support by signing an appeal to European leaders and noted that Georgia's place is in the European Union.

According to them, the campaign of signatures, which will cover the regions of Georgia from today, started on November 8 at the initiative of the President of Georgia. Representatives of society from different fields are involved in it and express their position by signing the petition.

"This campaign of signatures, "Our Voice to Europe" is an expression of our desire and will for Georgia to be where its future lies. The campaign is for everyone to send their voice to Europe and say we want Europe! This is not only a political application of the country, it is an application of every citizen, and first of all, of young people, because this is the space where you will enter, live and which will really change and strengthen your life, strengthen the identity of Georgia, the culture of Georgia, give this culture more expansion, more means for others to get to know it, that's why it's together - Europe and Georgia, the two flags that we have here today and are proud of.

Thank you very much for being here today and participating in this campaign. This is your campaign, once again I have to emphasize here that this is not my campaign, it was started by me and handed over to you, and this is your campaign, so it has no other political influence here. This is really only your campaign for our future," said the President of Georgia.

After the meeting with the young people, the President of Georgia spoke to journalists about the campaign against violence against women, which started today and will continue for two weeks.

"The fight against violence against women is a very important issue. This is also a European issue, and European standards mean that everyone should be protected, and first of all, women. I want to say that the fight against violence against women is really not only a European issue, it is a fight for our Georgian traditions, our values: violence against women is the forgetting and alienation from all this," said the President.
