Salome Samadashvili: It was said here that we, the opposition, call Georgian Dream the Russian political power - I recommend that you read the Russian press and you will see that Russians themselves call you their allies, Vladimir Putin's regime considers you to be the most reliable ally for them

It was said here that we, the opposition, call Georgian Dream the Russian political power. I recommend that you read the Russian press and you will see that Russians themselves call you their allies. Russians applaud you, Russians welcome your policy, and Vladimir Putin's regime considers you to be the most reliable ally for them in the world today, - Lelo MP Salome Samadashvili said at the plenary session of the Parliament.

According to Samadashvili, "Today, when the whole world, including all neighboring countries of Russia, is thinking about how to limit Russia's influence on their states, how to stop the influx of Russian citizens into their countries, including today Finland adopted additional regulations, this Russian oligarchic regime is the only one who has decided to please the occupation regime, which today occupies 20% of Georgia and which killed our fellow citizen a few days ago.”

"In fact, every day we see that the physical safety of our citizens is threatened, and the Georgian Dream is rolling out a red carpet for the citizens of Russia and increasing their economic influence in our country. I want to explain to the public what this Russian political power has done during their rule - the export of goods from our country to Russia has increased 7 times, our country is 7 times more dependent on Russia today. Our dependence on goods imported from Russia has increased two and a half times, and today, you, dear fellow citizens, students who cannot rent an apartment in Tbilisi because the cost of living has become more expensive, you should know that this is the merit of the people who sit here in the Parliament and protect the citizens of Russia on behalf of the majority in the Parliament of Georgia. That's why they refused yesterday the Lelo initiative, which is called the Georgia Protection Act. They refused to limit the uncontrolled influx of hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens into our country, who take away our land, our homes, our jobs, and make life in our country more expensive. And here they run a business that no one controls. Actually, no one knows how the infrastructure of Georgia is used today, including in terms of evading the sanctions imposed on Russia. These people, who are in the majority here, refused yesterday to discuss the fact that Russian, Putinist funds should not be allowed to run unchecked in our country," said Samadashvili.
