Nikoloz Samkharadze: We received very clear messages of support from our partners, they supported Georgia's integration both with the European Union and NATO

At the meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission, we presented a report on what was done in the last year and a half, including in terms of security, economic development and democratization reforms. We received very clear messages of support from our partners, - Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, stated after the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting in Brussels.

According to him, all speakers at the commission session supported Georgia's European perspective and membership in the European Union, as well as NATO membership.

Also, the statements made regarding the territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as the occupied regions, were very important.

"We are very satisfied with the results of the meeting. We asked our partners and NATO member countries to think about a clearer and more detailed action plan, like the one that the European Union has, in order for each step to be followed by progress towards NATO integration. Of course, this will also make it easier for us to guide ourselves, knowing that after completing a specific action plan, we will be one step closer to becoming a member. There was also a discussion on the Washington Summit. Hopefully, we will be represented there at a high level, and at this summit there will be a discussion about how the relations between us can be further developed, which will eventually lead to membership", said Nikoloz Samkharadze.
