According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri, the rate of deportation of Georgian citizens from Germany has increased lately. He spoke about this at a press conference together with the Federal Minister of the Interior and Public Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Nancy Faeser.

"I don't remember the numbers by heart, although it has certainly increased recently. Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, it has increased in recent years, probably in the last two years or so. However, we carry out readmission, we do not have any problems, on the contrary, we cooperate very closely with our colleagues," said the Minister.

In addition, according to Gomelauri, the information that Georgian citizens will be expelled from Germany is a lie and he noted that as a result of the signing of the agreement with Germany "on Migration and Mobility", more doors are opening for Georgia.

"On the contrary, more doors are opening for us," the Minister noted.
