The Public Defender met the residents of Perevi and Kardzmani

The Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani visited the villages near the occupied territories - Perevi and Kardzmani, met the local population and listened to their problems. The office of the Ombudsman disseminates information about this.

"I very often go to the villages near the occupation line and try to understand, even where our controlled part is, what the local authorities do, what services they provide to the population and how they are treated. Today I met the residents who moved from the occupied territory. They told me about the problems they face every time whenever they cross the occupation border.

Kardzmani is divided into two parts and a large part is in the occupied territory with its lands and population. The occupation border is opened only 10 days a month and residents are allowed to travel. However, such transportation is associated with great difficulties, both from the point of view of documentation, as well as from the point of view of cargo transfer and retrieval," said the Public Defender.
