Davit Khajishvili: The reason why Kekelidze was dismissed from his post was absurd - it can be linked to a political move and pre-election repressions

The step taken by Georgian Dream towards Giorgi Kekelidze is, of course, a political step and a repressive decision taken before the elections, said Davit Khajishvili, a member of the United National Movement faction.

According to Khajishvili, the reason why Kekelidze was dismissed from his position was absurd.

"This is a continuation of the previous election repressions, an attempt to use that resource. Also, the reason why they let him go was absurd, it turns out that he was the director for 11 years. Ivanishvili has been in power for 12 years, and why didn't he leave then? This is an absurd reason, and perhaps Ilia Chavchavadze would not like the step taken by "Georgian Dream" towards Kekelidze. All this, of course, we can connect with the political move and pre-election repressions", said Davit Khajishvili.
