This emphasizes that the world needs more cooperation to overcome global challenges and it is impossible to talk about overcoming them without China's participation, - Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili said while talking about the main trends of the Davos World Economic Forum.

As the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development noted, the Davos World Economic Forum is the leading platform where business and political leaders meet at the beginning of the year and where, in fact, the status of the current situation in the world is assessed. In addition, the forum plays a very important role in determining the international agenda.

"It is not a decision platform, but it is a very important platform where trends are outlined. One of these trends is that today the leader of the world's second and one of the leading economies, China, is participating in the forum. After the pandemic, this is the first Davos, where there is a very large representation of China. This has not happened in recent years, after 2020," he noted.

In addition, as Levan Davitashvili pointed out, along with the challenges, there are many opportunities in the world, they can be used by countries only through cooperation, and Georgia is part of this trend. According to him, the situation was correctly assessed by the Georgian authorities when they started talking about very promising economic cooperation with China. The Vice Prime Minister emphasizes that China is a strategic partner of Georgia, and the dialogue between the countries is ongoing on the implementation of very important, strategic projects - where Chinese business can play an important role, and this is very promising for the economy of Georgia.

"The Western world also sees this - today leading business and political leaders are talking about the fact that cooperation with China has great opportunities. Challenges can be overcome only through cooperation - so this is the main topic of Davos today", - noted Levan Davitashvili.
