Archbishop Ioane Gorelishvili explained why the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, could not hold a service in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in connection with the Epiphany today.

As he told journalists, the Patriarch's health condition is stable, but due to his weakness, he cannot participate in all services.

"The Patriarch's health is stable, but due to his age and weakness, he cannot participate in all the services. Unfortunately, he could not do it today," said the archbishop Ioane Gorelishvili.

For information, today the Orthodox Church celebrates Epiphany. In connection with this day, a service was held in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
