Roman Gotsiridze: Georgian Dream is not going to carry out any reforms on the issues related to the levers of maintaining power

Georgian Dream is not going to carry out any reforms on the issues related to the levers of maintaining power - they will not implement the recommendations that will weaken their power - this is the assessment of the opposition MP Roman Gotsiridze.

As the MP told journalists after a meeting held in the Parliament regarding the recommendations of the European Union, the government does not plan to implement essential changes. In this context, he named justice reform and election legislation.

In addition, according to Gotsiridze, the ruling team is not going to create working groups, where it would be possible to discuss specific proposals regarding the recommendations of the European Union, including alternative proposals of the opposition.

As Gotsiridze noted, despite all this, the opposition should not reduce its efforts.

"There are issues that can be partially fulfilled, and also, there are issues for which there is less demand from the EU - it can be implemented.

Only three of the 12 recommendations of the European Commission have been implemented, and their implementation needs pressure. Therefore, the opposition should use all the opportunities. In the process, it will be seen to what extent it is possible to fulfill specific recommendations - overall they are not going to implement essential changes", said Roman Gotsiridze.

A working meeting was held in the Parliament regarding the nine recommendations of the European Union.
