Abkhazia is interested in participating in various working formats of BRICS, - the so-called the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of occupied Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, said.

"The group of BRICS countries is working for the formation of a fairer international system, financial and economic architecture. The task of transferring payments to the national currency is of great importance in the work of the association," said Ardzinba.

In addition, Ardzinba noted that the prospective formats of Abkhazia's participation could be meetings of business groups, civil and academic forums, youth forum, young diplomats' forum and sports games.

For information, Russia took over the chairmanship of BRICS on January 1 and will continue until December 31 of this year.
