"Stop the evictions" - a march under the above slogan is taking place in Tbilisi.

The march started from the territory of Tbilisi State University.

The participants of the rally are planning to go to the Parliament of Georgia and voice their problems.

The participants in the rally are holding banners with inscriptions: "People against eviction", "Don't evict me", "Bankers suck our blood like vampires", "Students against eviction".

Their main demand is that the state imposes a moratorium on evictions.

They call on the authorities to stop the process of eviction of families and start working on solving the problem.

"We demand the announcement of a moratorium, that is, the suspension of evictions based on the legislation. Parliament can do this very easily. We need reforms at the level of contract regulation, we need reforms at the level of functions of the National Bank. Also, we need eviction reforms. We have seen evictions that took place in forms that violated dignity. There are standards for this and we want the Parliament to work on it in order to create more stable, dignified and equal conditions for the development of people", said one of the participants of the rally”, Vakhushti Menabde.

In addition, Giorgi Khasaia and Akaki Chikobava, who were arrested at the anti-eviction rally on Kekelidze Street and were later released on bail, joined the march.
