Irakli Kobakhidze: The President's speech was an ordinary speech of a representative of the radical opposition

She actually confirmed the plans we were talking about, that she is clearly going to create a pseudo-middle political force, for which she will resign in September and take part in the elections, - this is how Prime Minister-designate Irakli Kobakhidze assessed the annual report of the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.

According to him, "it was an ordinary speech of a representative of the radical opposition".

"As for the President's speech, nothing was interesting. She actually confirmed the plans we were talking about, that she is clearly going to create a pseudo-middle political force, for which she will resign in September and take part in the elections. That was the only interesting thing in her speech, the rest was just an ordinary speech of a representative of the radical opposition”, Kobakhidze noted.

In addition, when asked how he would evaluate the fact that Salome Zurabishvili spoke about the creation of the charter of the future - "Unity Platform for Europe", Kobakhidze noted that "this is the announcement of the creation of another radical opposition party".

"Naturally, we cannot be interested in that. This is his job. Some people's goal is for a specific political party with Salome Zurabishvili to overcome the 5% barrier, which will be very difficult for them," Kobakhidze said.
