The Georgia-Saudi Arabia Investment Business Forum was organized in Tbilisi by the agency "Enterprise Georgia"

Georgia-Saudi Arabia investment business forum was held in Tbilisi under the organization of "Enterprise Georgia" agency.

According to the information of the "Make in Georgia" agency, the forum was opened with a welcome speech by the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili and the Minister of Investments of Saudi Arabia, Khalid Al-Falih.

According to the information, the director of "Enterprise Georgia" Mikheil Khidureli held a presentation about the investment environment and opportunities of Georgia.

"According to today's data, the share of investments made from Saudi Arabia in our country amounts to 100 million US dollars, which is a low figure for a country with such investment potential as Saudi Arabia. That is why we run a very large and diversified business forum where we host representatives of more than 100 Saudi companies.

I am sure that today's forum, the visit of the Minister of Investments of Saudi Arabia to Georgia together with Saudi businessmen, will lay the foundation for the development of future relations between Georgia and Saudi Arabia. We see a growing interest in Georgia, this is not the first time when investors from the Gulf countries come, you know that we have close relations with the Emirates and several large projects are being developed. And now we think that Saudi investors will also be interested in Georgia.

The main sectors in which Saudi businessmen invest coincide with the priorities of our country. These are: real estate, hospitality sector, transport and energy. "We presented these sectors, showed their advantages and presented specific offers to Saudi investors," said Mikheil Khidureli.

According to the agency, during the Georgia-Saudi Arabia business forum, panel discussions were held on investment opportunities in the tourism and real estate sector. Forum participants discussed the potential of Georgia as a transport, logistics and energy hub.

"At the forum, the ministers of the two countries exchanged memoranda of mutual cooperation in the direction of agriculture, energy and cultural relations.

About 300 delegates attended the event, including representatives of the Georgian government, the diplomatic corps, the governmental and business delegation of Saudi Arabia, and representatives of Georgian business circles.

"At the end of the Georgia-Saudi Arabia business forum, an interactive session was held between Georgian and Arab businessmen, where they had the opportunity to establish connections with potential business partners," the information states.
