Aslan Bzhania: During the last few years, the Georgian government has been taking a pragmatic approach

During the last few years, the Georgian government has been showing a pragmatic approach, - about this the so-called president of occupied Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania said in an interview with the Russian news agency Tass.

"During the last few years, after the special military operation started in Ukraine, the Georgian authorities, it seems to me, showed a pragmatic approach to everything. They did not take part in the provocation that was imposed on them by Ukraine. The Ukrainian leader's repeated calls to open a second front did not gain support among them. In this sense, I consider it a sign of political maturity. It seems so to me", said Aslan Bzhania.

According to him, "in the future, if they show pragmatism, I think that unnecessary incidents can be eliminated."

"We have already decided our future. The leadership of Georgia will have to recognize the existing reality. I don't think I'm saying anything new, but after the war, things are no longer the same as they were before the war. War changes everything radically. Before the war in Abkhazia started in 1992, the Georgian leaders should have understood what all this could lead to. "Perhaps, from the point of view of the integrity of Georgia, this was one of the irreparable mistakes," Bzhania said.
