The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia filed charges against two citizens of the Republic of India for the illegal purchase, storage and possession of a large amount of narcotic drugs in Kutaisi.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia, the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that the defendants illegally purchased and stored a large amount of narcotic drug "Methamphetamine" in exchange for money. Also, one of the defendants illegally purchased, kept and sold a large amount of narcotic drug "Methamphetamine".
"Law defenders arrested the defendants on February 22 based on the court's decision. They are charged with Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, part 3, "a, b" and part 5, sub-paragraphs "a" and "b" (illegal purchase, storage and distribution of a large amount of narcotic drugs by a group with prior agreement, two episodes ).
One of the defendants was additionally charged with the fact of illegal purchase, storage and possession of a large amount of narcotic drugs.
The charge presented to both persons is punishable by imprisonment from 12 to 17 years.
"The prosecutor's office will apply to the court within the time limit set by the law, with a petition to extend the imprisonment of the defendants as a preventive measure," the information states.
