According to Badri Japaridze, chairman of the political council of the Lelo party, if the Strasbourg court will make a decision in favor of Badri Japaridze, Mamuka Khazaradze and Avtandil Tsereteli in the so-called "money laundering" case, this will prove that they were accused of a crime that does not actually exist.
As Badri Japaridze said on PalitraNews, the Strasbourg court sent the Georgian authorities questions that they must answer.
"The whole process was managed by Georgian Dream, that's why they came up with the article on money laundering. The court process restricts us from making public any information that the court shares with the parties. We have information that the Strasbourg court has sent questions to the authorities. The Ministry of Justice is the recipient of questions and must provide answers. If we win the case in Strasbourg, it will show that we were accused of a crime that does not exist.
Of course, the Georgian authorities will try to prolong the process. Their tactics are similar to Russian. Russians destroy their opponents physically, they - morally, and sometimes moral destruction is worse", said Badri Japaridze.
In addition, in the program, he spoke about the participation of young people in the elections and noted that the goal of Georgian Dream is to demotivate them so that students do not come to the elections, although the young people themselves should know that what the country will be like tomorrow depends on their decision.
In addition, according to Japaridze, the opposition parties, at this stage, combine many ideas, and now it is important not to emphasize the differences, but the similarities between the opposition parties.
"Besides the ideas related to the increase of pensions and the change of the government, I think there are other ideas, for example, the implementation of the 9 recommendations, which the Gakharia party and probably other pro-European parties share. We are always open to this type of debate. Now we have to show people that the opposition parties are ready for cooperation. It is important now not to emphasize the differences, but the similarities between the opposition parties, because we realize that the biggest threat to this country is Georgian Dream”, - said Badri Japaridze.
