According to the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Georgian Dream MP, Archil Talakvadze, the decision on the candidacy for the post of Minister of Health will be made as a result of consultations.

When asked whether he received an offer for the post of Minister of Health, Talakvadze refrained from answering this question.

"This is the PM’'s prerogative, his discretion, he made this decision, and I am sure that his decision will serve to achieve even more progress in the health and social sectors. He said that there will be consultations regarding the candidacy. A new candidate will be selected through political consultations. This decision is also the prerogative of the Prime Minister. I am sure that the best and most competent will be selected for this position. Whoever this person is, he will have the political support of the team. As for Zurab Azarashvili, I also want to thank him for all the good things he was able to do during these years.

I am sure that the Prime Minister made a decision that serves to achieve more progress in the health and social sectors. I will repeat, I also want to thank Zurab Azarashvili for all the good work he has done during these years and wish him success in his future activities. I am not going to comment on the new candidate, since this is the prerogative of the Prime Minister. He is the person who consults and presents his decision to the public. I can't say anything more about this issue," said Talakvadze.
