The delegation of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament, led by the chairman of the committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Luminita Odobescu. The press service of the Parliament of Georgia disseminates information about this.

According to the same information, the parties discussed the issues of political relations and economic cooperation between Georgia and Romania.

The European integration process of Georgia and the importance of Romania's firm support on this path were emphasized.

Also, future steps within the existing strategic partnership between the two countries were discussed.

Attention was focused on the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and issues of non-recognition policy.

"At the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, we talked about deepening the strategic partnership, and we received a promise from the minister that in a few days they will officially send us the action plan of the strategic partnership, so that after the discussion, the said action plan will be finally approved," said Nikoloz Samkharadze.

During the meeting, one of the main topics of conversation was economic cooperation and the issue of the Black Sea submarine cable, the implementation of which was the initiative of Georgia and Romania.

It was emphasized that it is a priority project for both countries. The delegation of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia is headed by the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze.
