Azerbaijan is among the top five trade partners of Georgia, said the first vice-prime minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, speaking to journalists in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Levan Davitashvili, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia is increasing year by year.

"Investments coming to Georgia from Azerbaijan and vice versa are also very important. We also have international projects in which Georgia and Azerbaijan play a leading role, and the Prime Minister spoke about this, that these are mega projects for Azerbaijan, where Georgia is an important partner. These are mainly projects aimed at energy security, which, among other things, significantly contribute to European energy security. These are transport-logistics close ties, which become even more relevant due to the geopolitical situation, the development of the Middle Corridor and, of course, we reviewed in detail the perspectives that appear in terms of new projects. It is cooperation in complementary energy projects. Of course, this cooperation will continue in the future as well", said the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, whose comments are disseminated by the administration of the Government of Georgia.
