Khatia Dekanoidze: We have a test to pass, which is related to the implementation of reforms - at this rate, we may not be able to move to the stage of negotiations

According to Khatia Dekanoidze, deputy of "EuroOptimists", in order for Georgia to take an important step in terms of integration with the European Union, it is necessary to implement such reforms as anti-corruption reform and judicial independence.

Dekanoidze thinks that "Georgian Dream" lacks the political will to implement reforms.

"Georgia has very serious reforms to implement, first of all, it concerns the rule of law, anti-corruption reforms and independence of the courts. We needed a "veting system" for independent judges, which, unfortunately, the management team refused.

As for reforms in general, I don't think that the political will of the ruling team is to implement these reforms. I really hope that the negotiations will be opened in December. I want the best for my homeland, but it is also very sad that the progress that the European partners are talking about in relation to Moldova is not recorded in relation to our country", said Dekanoidze.

As she mentioned, now Georgia has a test to pass, which is related to the implementation of reforms.

"In my opinion, at the rate of implementation of these reforms, we may not move to the stage of opening negotiations because the standard of the rule of law is very low. As for the political will, it is possible that in relation to other countries, this political will is more pronounced, while in relation to Georgia, there is no political will. Constant anti-Western propaganda puts the process of reforms in an even more difficult situation," said Dekanoidze.
