Salome Zurabishvili's statement regarding the elections is irrelevant, based on the fact that she has already shown an interest in sabotage, - the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, told reporters, thus responding to the statement of President Salome Zurabishvili, in which she called the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more communication with the diaspora.
According to him, by vetoing the changes in the election code, the President of Georgia has finally confirmed that her only goal is to sabotage the elections.
"I think Salome Zurabishvili's statement regarding the elections is irrelevant, based on the fact that she has already shown her interest in sabotage when she vetoed the law that was aimed at getting the CEC out of the impasse. She has finally confirmed that her only self-goal is to sabotage the elections. Therefore, all her statements are devoid of relevance", Irakli Kobakhidze noted.
For information, according to the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, the ambassadors of the partner countries expressed their readiness to facilitate the opening of additional polling stations abroad.
In addition, according to Zurabishvili, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs itself "didn't have any conversation with the ambassadors in order to move the issue forward and find ways".
According to Zurabishvili, on the other hand, the diaspora also expresses its willingness to use the spaces available for election purposes.
