Giorgi Vashadze: The EU tells us - take care of the judicial system - it's absolutely fair - we have Ivanishvili's party, which is clung to the "clan" – we need great national unity on October 26, because we cannot enter the EU by wrestling

The European Union tells us - do you want the European Union? Do you want to be a European-type state? Then take care of the judicial system - it's absolutely fair, I welcome any such protest, - Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of the Strategy Builder party, said while responding to the inscriptions related to the court in the capital.

According to him, the country's government is tied to the judicial "clan".

"The reality is the following, the European Union tells us: do you want the European Union? Do you want to be a European-type state? Then take care of the judicial system. Here we have Ivanishvili's party, which is clung to the "clan" and says that no, it is more important for us to have judges defending our interests than joining the European Union. Therefore, it is absolutely fair, I welcome any such protest.

Most importantly, we need great national unity on October 26, because we cannot enter the European Union by wrestling. If we want development, progress, which should bring the country economic growth, jobs, high wages, normal life, return of immigrants to the country, improvement in the demographic background, all this cannot happen under these circumstances," said Vashadze.

As Vashadze noted, the more our judges arrive in Western countries and "share the experience and practice that will be useful in the development of Georgia, the better."

"If we want to join the European Union, we cannot join the European Union with this court. With this elite governance and elite corruption, we cannot enter the European Union. With the anti-state actions of this Ivanishvili party, we will not be able to enter the European Union. It is not only about what the European Union tells us, it is about what we need to be a normal state.

If many judges arrive in Europe and the United States of America and see what an independent court really is, no one can do anything better than that. I welcome the more our judges arrive in the Western countries and share the experience and practice that will be useful in the development of Georgia, the better. The fewer "clan" judges in the judicial system, the better," said Vashadze.
