"I am against canceling women's quotas. It should be understood that many successful EU countries have followed this path to further develop equality, women's involvement and democracy.

I will say here, when women leave their children and families due to lack of jobs and high prices, it is utopian to try to avoid such a real problem and to put artificially created topics on the agenda," said Vashadze.

For information, the majority will support the initiative of "Girchi" regarding the abolition of gender quotas in the electoral list, while "Girchi" will "focus on professionalism and not use the issue for personal topics" when choosing the chairman of the CEC.
