Levan Khabeishvili: Ivanishvili's party does not want Georgia to become a member of the EU - the authorities are preparing for failure and are trying in every possible way to damage the interest of the Georgian people

Ivanishvili's party does not want Georgia to become a member of the European Union. The government is preparing for failure, they are in a miliable mode and now they are trying to harm the interest of the Georgian people in every possible way, - the Chairman of the United National Movement, Levan Khabeishvili, said while talking about the draft law on "Transparency of Foreign Influence".

According to him, "Georgian Dream" is attacking European values with the said bill and clearly emphasizes that they do not want Georgia to become a member of the European Union.

"A few days ago, they celebrated win of the Georgian national football team , a few days ago they couldn't stand it, and in fact they are attacking European values again, and with this decision they clearly emphasize that they do not want Georgia to become a member of the European Union. It is a fact that the government is preparing for failure and therefore is now trying in every possible way to damage the interest of the Georgian people - to become a member of the European Union. Also, with these topics, they want to divert the main discussion, which is the migration of people, that hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing, that they have daily problems, that there is severe poverty, unemployment in the country, and to make the society even more tense and in an even more difficult situation. We should understand well that 2024 and in about 5-6 months from here is a unique opportunity to change the government. Every citizen of Georgia has a thoughtful choice to make - do they want to live in hardship, poverty, where they always think about emigration, where their children grow up without mothers, or live in the European Union with economic prosperity, high wages, normal employment, in the conditions in which they can support their families, be happy, smile, whatever Unfortunately, our society got used to it due to the worst economic situation. Therefore, all the political parties, civil society, Georgian people must realize the simple truth - the government is finished", said Levan Khabeishvili.

For information, the parliamentary majority will again initiate the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" in the parliament. According to the leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, the draft law will be introduced in the Parliament of Georgia with exactly the same text as it was introduced last year, with the only difference - instead of the term "agent of foreign influence" the term "organization carrying the interests of a foreign power" will be used, all other notes of the draft law are unchanged.
