At the plenary session of the Parliament, the discussion of the draft prepared by Girchi on the abolition of mandatory gender quotas is being discussed amidst verbal confrontation.
Khatia Dekanoidze and Girchi deputies addressed each other with replies. Dekanoidze called Iago Khvichia "rude" and "garbage".
The Parliament, in the format of the plenary session, will consider the Girchi legislative initiative on the abolition of mandatory gender quotas in the second reading, article by article.
The bill is supported by the Georgian Dream majority.
The members of the political group Girchi, Aleksandre Rakviashvili, Iago Khvichia, Herman Sabo and Vakhtang Megrelishvili, presented a legislative initiative to the Parliament.
With the support of the majority, the Parliament will vote on the Girchi initiative in an accelerated manner.
