Khatia Dekanoidze calls Iago Khvichia "rude" and "garbage" during discussion of abolition of gender quotas

At the plenary session of the Parliament, the discussion of the draft prepared by Girchi on the abolition of mandatory gender quotas is being discussed amidst verbal confrontation.

Khatia Dekanoidze and Girc­hi deputies addressed each other with replies. Dekanoidze called Iago Khvichia "rude" and "garbage".

The Parliament, in the format of the plenary session, will consider the Girc­hi legislative initiative on the abolition of mandatory gender quotas in the second reading, article by article.

The bill is supported by the Georgian Dream majority.

The members of the political group Gir­chi, Aleksandre Rakviashvili, Iago Khvichia, Herman Sabo and Vakhtang Megrelishvili, presented a legislative initiative to the Parliament.

With the support of the majority, the Parliament will vote on the Girc­hi initiative in an accelerated manner.
