Shalva Papuashvili: I call on all donors and foreign actors - if they are sincere in their position of transparency, that they have nothing to hide from the Georgian people - it takes 5 minutes to publicize the projects of NED and EED

It is an ordinary, propaganda, disinformation attack on the population of Georgia. They want to suppress reasoning with shouts and slogans. These are the usual KGB methods. In this context, the attitude of foreign actors towards Georgia is also important, - said the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to him, discussions on these issues have been going on for two weeks. According to him, if their concerns are real, then what prevents them from publicizing the projects of the National Endowment for Democracy and the European Endowment for Democracy in Georgia.

"We hear the concerns of foreign diplomats and politicians, but during these two weeks, if they are sincere in their concerns, what prevented them from publicizing the projects of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) in Georgia. If transparency is the main principle for them and if they don't deny the need for it - instead of talking and worrying, wouldn't it be better if they made it public and showed the Georgian people that they have nothing to hide. It takes five minutes to put this list of projects on any website, but unfortunately, instead of foreign actors and donors showing a willingness to be transparent, you still see slogans, not substantive discussion. Therefore, I, once again, call on all donors and foreign actors - if they are sincere in their position of transparency, that they have nothing to hide from the Georgian people - it takes 5 minutes to publicize the projects of NED and EED. So now they must show the Georgian people that they are sincere in their attitude towards the people", said Shalva Papuashvili.
