The parliamentary opposition is aware of the incredible challenge and as never before, we are united - we demand that the Russian law be recalled immediately and the political spectrum of Georgia returns to the formation of a normal pre-election environment, - independent deputy of the parliament Armaz Akhvlediani said at the joint briefing of the parliamentary opposition.
According to him, the return of the said draft law to the parliament means that "Georgian Dream" opposes the Constitution of Georgia.
The return of this harmful Russian law by "Dream" to the parliament only means that Ivanishvili's rule is against the Constitution of Georgia, the will of the Georgian people to be a part of the European community of a European country, and most importantly, it directly opens the way for the Kremlin institutions and the threats coming from there in Georgia. The parliamentary opposition is aware of this truly incredible challenge and as never before we are united, as never before, we are ready, together with our people, to protect the Constitution of Georgia, the European choice and not to allow chaos in Georgia with the scenario ordered by the Kremlin.
We demand that the Russian law be recalled immediately and the political spectrum of Georgia returns to the establishment of a normal pre-election environment, the implementation of the 9-point plan and the establishment of a normal, European governance in Georgia through democratic elections," said Armaz Akhvlediani.
For information, the Parliament is starting to consider the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence".
The draft submitted by the "Georgian Dream" faction is being discussed today by the Committee on Legal Issues in the first reading.
Along with it, two alternative projects are discussed - one is the project "On protection from the influence of the occupying country - the Russian Federation" and the accompanying amendments to the "Criminal Code", and the other - prepared in the Law "On Grants" and the Law "On Accounting, Reporting and Auditing" changes.
