Lawyer: We searched all night for the detainees who were not allowed to hire a lawyer and receive prompt medical care

We were looking for the detainees throughout the night. They were not allowed to hire a lawyer, they were not allowed to receive prompt medical attention. Today we are going to submit a statement to the prosecutor's office against all those people who abuse the Georgian people and free protesters, "United National Movement" lawyer Lasha Tkesheladze said about those arrested at the April 16 rally.

According to him, all this is illegality and crime.

"Yesterday, we were looking for the detainees throughout the night. We were not allowed to see these people. Some are still in hospital. They were not allowed to hire a lawyer, they were not allowed to receive prompt medical attention. All this should be assessed as a whole - all this is illegality, all this is a crime.

Today, we are going to file a statement in the prosecutor's office against all those people who abuse the Georgian people and free protesters", said Lasha Tkesheladze.
