Paata Manjgaladze: We should refuse the Russian "driver's license" and get a "European driver's license"

We should refuse the Russian "driver's license" and get a "European driver's license", Paata Manjgaladze, deputy of Strategy-Builder, said after the meeting organized by European Paradigm.

According to him, if Georgian Dream continues like this, it will receive even bigger protests from the public.

“Except for Georgian Dream, no one in the society questions that the law is Russian and serves the Russian cause. I have repeatedly stated many reasons why the law is Russian, there are many simple tests for this: it applies to our partners, it limits our partners' operations in Georgia, it pleases Russia, it limits Georgia's prospects of joining the European Union. This was not said by any opposition leader, but by the highest European officials, starting with Charles Michel and ending with the Secretary General of NATO. When these people say that with this "Russian driver's license" you cannot become a member of the European Union, we should throw away the Russian "driver's license" and get a European "driver's license", which involves fulfilling the 9 points. This is a simple formula to do. People think that this law cannot be passed. Russia does not care for the development of democracy in Georgia, nor for judicial and electoral reform, nor for more democracy. I don't care about the content of the draft law, when it blocks strategic partners, I will attend the second reading and we will do everything. If Georgian Dream continues like this, it will face bigger protests. Let the leaders of Georgian Dream say how many people need to stand on Rustaveli Avenue so that this law is not adopted, and we will ensure it," said Paata Majgaladze.
