Ana Natsvlishvili: The draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" may be passed in the third reading on Friday, on a holiday, as session of the legal issues committee has been scheduled for May 10

According to Ana Natsvlishvili, deputy of the Lelo party, the legal issues committee of the parliament may adopt the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" in the third reading on Friday, May 10.

According to her, discussion of the issue is not on the agenda of the committee yet, although it it may be added.

As Natsvlishvili notes, tens of thousands of people continue to protest and no one is going to put up with the change in the foreign course. In addition, according to her, international pressure on Georgian Dream and the risks of individual sanctions, as well as dissatisfaction and fluctuations within the system are increasing.

"For Friday, which is a holiday, at 09:00 in the morning, a session of the legal issues committee has been scheduled. "Russian law" is not yet on the agenda, but it is possible to add the issue and Dream votes will be enough. It is possible that it will be passed on Friday in the third reading, at the committee. After that, there remains the plenary session (next week), the veto and its overriding - first at the committee, then at the plenary.

Tens of thousands of people continue to protest. No one is going to get tired and stop. No one is going to put up with the change in the foreign course.

The international pressure on Dream and the risks of individual sanctions are increasing.

Dissatisfaction within the system is growing. Hundreds of officials and civil servants understand exactly what they are being forced to participate in, whether by active or passive support. They realize how dangerous it is for the country. Discontent among party activists is growing. Propaganda does not work. I am sorry for those people who could not find another role at this hist, orical moment and are busy “blackening” the protests," Natsvlishvili said.
