Members of parliamentary majority enter parliament from Chitadze street amidst shouts "slaves" and "Russians”

Members of the parliamentary majority are entering the parliament from Chitadze street. Deputies of Georgian Dream and People's Power have to enter the legislative body against the background of shouts from the participants of the rally, who call the deputies supporting the law "On transparency of foreign influence" "slaves" and "Russians".

Police forces cleared Chitadze Street from protesters about 1 hour ago.

Currently, the participants of the rally are gathered on Chichinadze Street, although the majority members are entering the legislative body by car from Chitadze Street, where security measures have been strengthened.

The rally has been taking place in the vicinity of the Parliament of Georgia from 22:00 on May 12.

Opponents of the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" spent the night on Rustaveli Avenue. Their goal was to not allow members of the majority to enter the parliament in the morning.

Georgian Dream has scheduled the third committee hearing of the draft law on "Transparency of foreign influence" for 09:00 today.
