Saba Buadze: We do not consider a unified election list as a formula for victory!

We do not consider a unified election list as a formula for victory! - We believe that we will be able to defeat the government in these truly referendum-like elections by forming several pro-European centers, Saba Buadze, the representative of the Lelo party, told "Interpressnews" about this.

As for the internal party research of "Lelo", about which Tina Bokuchava, the chairman of the "National Movement" faction, spoke to the media today, according to Buadze, the unified list was not even tested in the "Lelo" research, and the mentioned issue was not the subject of their research.

According to Buadze, the best configuration for elections is to present to voters with several strong, pro-Western centers.

"First of all, I will say that unity is really the most important task in order to change the government. Now the main order of society is the change of government. At the same time, the survival of the European perspective of the country is going through the change of government. Accordingly, we have well understood the responsibility that each of us bears in this process.

Realizing this, we were the first to call upon the political spectrum to unite and create a unified national platform, the task of which should be to unite the parties around their ideas and agenda, and not to unite the parties mechanically - in the form of a single electoral list. This was not our task in any case. Of course, unity is important and we must achieve this unity - it must be substantive and ideological unity, where the role of the president is important, so that with the help of the president, all of this can be brought together.

We do not consider aნ unified list to be a winning formula. Consolidation of political forces into one electoral entity may be in the interests of "Georgian Dream". We need to show electoral unity by proposing several solid and large centers and then reaching a political consensus among these political groups. This should be a political task and not a mechanical merging of parties into one list.

"The pro-Western political spectrum should manage to demonstrate unity around one agenda in terms of content - unification in a single list is not on the agenda at all," said Saba Buadze.
