Svetlana Tikhanovskaya: The law "On transparency of foreign influence" could be the first step towards what happened in Belarus - the future of our nations belongs to Europe, not Russia

I and the people of Belarus are on your side, - Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the Belarusian oppositionist, said when addressing the citizens of Georgia and urged them not to stop fighting for the country's European future.
As Tikhanovskaya mentioned in an interview with the Georgian Service of Voice of America, both Georgia and Belarus deserve a European future.
"Of course, both Georgia and Belarus deserve to be independent European nations. The future of our nations belongs to Europe, not Russia. For a very long time, our countries, two nations - Belarus and Georgian people - lived in the shadow of the empire, in the shadow of the Russian empire, and that's enough. Both nations deserve independence, freedom, European future," she said.
Tikhanovskaya explained that the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" could be the first step towards what happened in Belarus.
"I think that this could be the first step towards what happened in Belarus, where today all non-governmental organizations are liquidated, free media is destroyed, the political space is empty... I hope that the proud and freedom-loving Georgian nation will find a solution for the European future together," she said.
