It is categorically unacceptable to influence a political party in such a violent way, it represents a danger in our polarized society and damages the country, - the statement of the party "European Democrats" states about the attack on the central office of the "United National Movement".

As it is written in the statement, violent confrontations and attacks on the political party, before the upcoming parliamentary elections, will make the environment even more tense.

"Violent confrontations and attacks on the political party will further strain the environment before the upcoming parliamentary elections and will damage the country's reputation, will cause problems with the legitimacy of the elections, regarding which there are already questions among our partners due to the adoption of the transparency law, the changes made to the election code and the disregard of the recommendations of the Venice Commission. Against this background, violent attacks on the opposition political party will lead to the loss of legitimacy of the election process as a whole.

"We call on the authorities to exercise discretion and prevent similar actions, law enforcement structures to conduct an investigation, strictly punish and hold responsible all those who carry out such violent actions, which cause problems for the country before important elections", - says the statement issued by "European Democrats".
