When there is an open terror campaign against political officials, it is of course important to respond. I am still looking to see if organizations and countries will continue to cooperate with local organizations engaged in radical agendas and political extremism. If someone wants to cover something with this, it's their problem, - with these words, Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili responded to the statement of the opposition deputy, Iago Khvichia, at the plenary session.
As Shalva Papuashvili noted, defamatory statements were made by the opposition MPs against the majority at the session.
"When you talk about various facts and say that something is organized by the majority or the government, this is slander, because you have no basis for it, and on the contrary, there is a campaign of hatred, violence and terror against the members of the majority. We know what is happening here. Organizations that are financed from the budget of the European Union, the employees of this organization are openly engaged in terror. When you threaten a person with a bullet, call, insult and attack in public - this is exactly terror, and you do not react to it, which is understandable. And what Mrs. Teona Akubardia did, it is certainly unacceptable, but it is not surprising from the people of political morals who are in the radical opposition," said the chairman of the parliament.
