On June 16, the first charter flight was performed from Tbilisi International Airport, by which a group of Georgian citizens traveled to the German city of Dusseldorf with air tickets subsidized by the Georgian government.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, they will show support to the Georgian football team at the stadium in Germany.

"The charter flights subsidized for Euro-2024 will be performed by: Eurowings, Wizz Air, Hi Sky and Georgian Wings. All subsidized flights are adjusted to the schedule of matches of the national team of Georgia. Charter flights from Tbilisi and Kutaisi will be made in the direction of Dortmund, Hamburg, Cologne and Düsseldorf. It is planned to perform 17 charter flights. So far, a total of 5,220 tickets have been sold.

From May 24, 2024, football fans have been able to buy subsidized air tickets for special charter flights organized by the Georgian government on the online portal TKT.GE. Besides, only citizens of Georgia can buy tickets at a subsidized price. In addition, the passenger is obliged to present the ticket to attend the football match during the registration at the airport, otherwise, he will have to pay the full and non-subsidized price of the air ticket. The passenger will receive the ticket by e-mail and must report to the relevant airport for registration 3 hours before the flight.

The cost of a subsidized, one-way air ticket is EUR 195. Accordingly, the cost of a round-trip air ticket will be EUR 390", reads the information.
